For many Memorial day is truly a day of reflection. It's a time for us to remember those that have made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom and the liberties we sometimes take for granted.  When searching for a message that says what is in my heart today I was inspired to share these simple words.

How did you touch me?
I don't quite understand
A ray of hope with much of life unplanned

How did you reach me?
Without being seen
A vision of inspiration
With new hopes and new dreams

You left us way too soon in life
And when I ask the question why
I think about your light of hope
And find the answers in the sky

Your light brought us all together
You gave us hope in many ways
You were a gift sent from the heavens
Your bright light will shine always.
